The Conseil reviewed 1,200 files at 530 working group sessions and 58 plenary Board meetings.  21 opinions were issued to Government and 6 to Autorité de la concurrence (competition authority). 3 recommandations were sent to editors in relation to pluralism during electoral periods: the first one, in relation to the elections to the congrès and assemblées de province of Nouvelle-Calédonie; the second, in relation to the European Parliament election; and, the third one, in view of the election of conseillers départementaux in 2015. 3 deliberations were also adopted: one on the protection of minors on television; one on the remuneration of associates outside of the Conseil; and, one on the broadcasting conditions of short clips of sporting and other events of high interest to the public. Finally, 1 charter by and between government and audiovisual industry representatives was executed at the CSA.

The Conseil held approximately 30 hearings in plenary session.  1 Chair and 8 Directors were appointed to public broadcasting companies. In addition, 36 foreign delegations were welcomed.

As regards the comités territoriaux de l’audiovisuel (CTAs), 575 decisions, of various natures, were adopted.

RADIO

As regards analogue radio in métropole (mainland France), the Conseil completed 3 partial invitations for applications, and granted licenses to use 79 fréquencies; 5 invitations for applications were issued in relation to the allocation of 92 frequencies; approximately 128 FM frequency licenses were renewed or approved for renewal without invitations for applications. In outre-mer (French overseas départements and collectivités), 30 radio stations were licenced.

TELEVISION

The Conseil issued 6 invitations for applications for local television channels in outre-mer (French overseas départements and collectivités).

14 new legal agreements (conventions) were entered into, and 28 registration (déclarations) were received for for services broadcast or distributed on networks not using frequencies assigned by the Conseil.

DISPUTE SETTLEMENT

Operators lodged 6 dispute settlement requests with the Conseil.

INTERNET

The Conseil's website (www.csa.fr) received 1,226,125 visits, i.e., a daily average of 3,360 visitors browsing 3,289,487 pages.

RSS flows generated 6,593,740 requests, up from 4,620,668 in 2013; the flows' leading role in providing access to information on our website is confirmed again by this 49% increase.

The monthly average number of messages sent to the Conseil through the website was 648, up from 555 in 2013.
